GRG Lightning Lacrosse Youth CampFitness & RecreationCome play with us! This camp is for beginner and experienced players that are interested in learning lacrosse or advancing their game with the GRG high school players and coaching staff. Participants will be shown and practice the FUNdamentals of playing the game of lacrosse. Carrying the ball (cradling); passing; catching; playing defense; spacing; and being a great teammate are some skills covered. Small sided games, lots of fun and an encouraging atmosphere will prevail. If you have a stick and lacrosse goggles please bring, otherwise one will be provided. Be sure to indicate that on the e-form attached to registration, so we can plan accordingly. Players should bring a water bottle. Optional equipment-cleats (no metal spikes). This camp will give our youngest students the opportunity to meet new friends who may be in their classrooms in September. It will involve many fun activities that will leave your child looking forward to his/her kindergarten experience. This will be a great chance for your child to become comfortable with the layout of the school, enjoy the playground, eat a snack and lunch in the lunchroom, and meet the kindergarten teachers. Mountain Bike Adventure CampFitness & RecreationPrerequisite: Riders must have the stamina to pedal up the hill to the top of Tioga Focus is on BUILDING SKILLS - climbing, descending, cornering, how to ride over obstacles, and proper bike-body positions - in the terrain park and on the trails. Coached by Sheri Schrock: PMBI (Professional Mtn Bike Instructor) certified, Head Coach ARDENT Mountain Bike Team, 2025 UCI Mountain Bike World Champion, Wilderness First Aid certified MUST PASS BIKE CHECK: working brakes, shifts to ALL gears easily, proper tire pressure. We will ride in rain - but not thunderstorms. If we cancel due to weather we will not reschedule. Parent may join class free as a Ride Leader or Sweep (bring up the rear when we trail ride).
