Kayak Fishing Experience

Experience a three-day kayak fishing adventure! We’ll begin with kayaking essentials—safety, paddling techniques, and basic handling—before moving on to targeting the fish species found in O’Brien Reservoir, including bass, northern pike, perch, and panfish. Participants will learn effective fishing techniques. Equipment can be provided with advance notice. Students are encouraged to bring their own rods, reels, tackle, and life jackets. They will also learn how to fillet a fish and may take home their catch each day. Open to students entering grades 5–9. Class held rain or shine.
