4-6 Grade Cross Country Team
Join the 6th grade girls and boys cross country running club and learn about the sport of distance running. Athletes will train to run races between 1-2 miles in length. This will be awesome training for the 6th grade 5K!
Practices: Monday, Wednesday, Friday after school until 430PM
Practices will include warm up, skill of the day, daily run, stretch and strength, and game time. There will be at least 3 cross country meets: Grand Rapids, Hibbing and Rock Ridge.
Race distance: 1 Mile
What to bring to practice: Running shoes, weather appropriate running attire. Bring your own water bottle. Uniform shirts will be provided.
All area students grade 4-6 are welcome to join. 6th graders may be eligible for post-season state meet!
