Spinning with Spindles and Wheels

Curious about making your own yarn? In this two-part class, you’ll learn the basics of handspinning using both a drop spindle and a spinning wheel. In the first group class on October 10, students will explore fiber preparation, spinning, and plying with drop spindles. After two weeks of at-home practice, each student will attend a personalized one-on-one lesson to review their practice yarns and learn spinning wheel techniques. IMPORTANT: The individual lessons will be scheduled during the first class for either October 24 or 25. $25 materials fee due to instructor at first class date
