Introduction to Mahjong

Born in Galveston, Texas, I moved to New Orleans when I was just six months old. From an early age, teaching seemed to come naturally to me. As a child, I was always playing teacher with the neighborhood kids and at school.

I spent 34 years teaching in Minnesota, including in Rapids and Finley, before deciding it was time to try something different. However, life eventually led me back to teaching. Over the years, I have taught children’s choirs at church, provided private voice lessons, and now I’m excited to share my love of Mahjongg with others.

Mahjongg has been part of my life since childhood, when I watched my mother play. After my teaching career ended, I picked up the game again and rediscovered how much I enjoy it.
