This youth football program is designed to help young athletes, grades 4-6, develop fundamental football skills, build confidence, and foster a lifelong love of the game in a positive and supportive environment. Open to players of all experience levels, the program focuses on age-appropriate instruction in tackling techniques, blocking, passing, catching, footwork, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Whether your child is stepping onto the field for the first time or looking to advance their skills, our Youth Football Program provides a fun, competitive, and rewarding experience for every player.

The Deer River Boys & Girls Club offers summer programs for youth ages 6–18, focusing on character and leadership, education and career development, health and lifestyle, the arts, and physical fitness. Membership forms are available at the Boys and Girls Club or King Elementary School office.

KinderCamp is for all Nashwauk-Keewatin Kindergartners who are enrolled or planning to enroll in Kindergarten this fall - 2026. This camp will give our youngest students the opportunity to meet new friends who may be in their classrooms in September. It will involve many fun activities that will leave your child looking forward to his/her kindergarten experience. This will be a great chance for your child to become comfortable with the layout of the school, enjoy the playground, eat a snack and lunch in the lunchroom, and meet the kindergarten teachers. KinderCamp will be held at the Nashwauk-Keewatin School and will be under the supervision of our licensed kindergarten teachers. No bussing available. Families will be responsible for transportation.
